​Life Cycle: Perennial

A late-blooming species with a long and prolific flowering period of around 1 ½ months, Frost Asters have a bushy habit. Their white flowers are around ¾" wide and attract many types of native insects: bees, wasps, flies, beetles, and small to mid-sized butterflies and moths. Later, the flowers turn to fluffy white seedheads that are eaten by sparrows.
