The light purple flowers of Blue Wood Aster are mid-sized and bloom in showy clusters late in the fall. The main pollinators for these are bees, though many other insects visit (butterflies, beetles and more). This species prefers woodland edges or other areas of part shade/dappled light. Also called Heart-leaved Aster for the shape of its leaves.
