Blue-stemmed Goldenrod
Solidago caesia var. caesia

Height: 2-3 ft
Spread: 1-2 ft
Bloom Time: August-October
Sunlight: Part Shade
Soil Moisture: Medium, Dry, Very Dry
Life Cycle: Perennial

A woodland Solidago species, Blue-stemmed Goldenrod thrives in shaded locations with dappled light. Its arching stems often have a blue sheen, providing the common name, and these stems grow around 2 to 3 feet tall. Bumble bees especially love the yellow flowers that bloom in clusters around the central stem and offer a late season nectar source. Blue-stemmed Goldenrod is a non-aggressive Goldenrod species. It also is sometimes called Wreath Goldenrod.
