Silphium asteriscus var. trifoliatum

Height: 4-5 ft
Spread: 2 ft
Bloom Time: June-September
Sunlight: Full Sun to Part Shade
Soil Moisture: Dry, Very Dry
Life Cycle: Perennial

Whorled Rosinweed is an upright perennial with sturdy stems that grow 4 to 5 feet tall. The yellow composite flowers of Whorled Rosinweed are large with many petals, blooming throughout the summer months. Its rough-textured leaves encircle - or whorl around - the central stem in groups of 3 or 4, providing its common name. Birds value the seeds of this species, and butterflies are frequent visitors to the flowers. Whorled Rosinweed thrives in well-drained soil and grows well in locations with full sun or part shade. Deer Resistant.
