Sweet Everlasting
Pseudognaphalium obtusifolium

Height: 2 ft
Spread: 1 ft
Bloom Time: August-October
Sunlight: Full Sun to Part Shade
Soil Moisture: Dry, Very Dry
Life Cycle: Biennial (sometimes Annual or Short-lived Perennial)

An upright species of dry areas, Sweet Everlasting has narrow, delicate-looking leaves that have a silvery hue. The white flowers of this species are arranged in tight clusters at the top of the plant and attract native bees and flies. As a biennial, Sweet Everlasting forms a rosette of leaves the first year before sending up a flowering stalk during the second year. Sometimes Sweet Everlasting may also act as an annual or a short-lived perennial, depending on the growing site and the weather. Once introduced into a habitat corridor, it can easily persist through self-seeding.
