​A fast-growing, evergreen tree that forms a dense bushy structure, Eastern Red Cedar typically grows 25 to 50 feet tall. The structure of the tree often takes on a conical shape, and it has peeling bark on its trunk. The male and female flowers are on separate plants, females producing clusters of blue/gray berries that birds eat. This species is used as a host plant for the caterpillars of Juniper Hairstreaks, a small, green-tinged butterfly. Deer Resistant.
