The short and bushy Dwarf St. John's Wort has many small yellow flowers that bloom in summer and fall. Interestingly, the flowers of this species do not have nectar but contain large amounts of pollen that attract insect visitors. Halictid bees, native flies, and beetles all visit to collect this pollen. Dwarf St. John's Wort thrives in low areas that hold more moisture and also can grow along streams and ponds. Deer Resistant.​
