American Coral Bells
Heuchera americana var. americana

Height: 1-2 ft
Spread: 1 ft
Bloom Time: April-June
Sunlight: Part Shade to Shade
Soil Moisture: Dry, Very Dry
Life Cycle: Perennial

American Coral Bells are a perennial of dry places, growing on steep banks, on rocks with little soil available for their roots, and in other seemingly inhospitable conditions. They prefer for the soil to be very well-drained and to have some shade throughout the day. The rounded leaves of American Coral Bells are grouped at the base of the plant and host a variety of colors and natural patterns. Green or reddish bell-shaped flowers bloom in an airy formation on a stalk in springtime and are mainly visited by small insects. Deer Resistant.
