Common Boneset
Eupatorium perfoliatum

Height: 4-5 ft
Spread: 2 ft
Bloom Time: August-October
Sunlight: Full Sun to Part Shade
Soil Moisture: Wet, Moist
Life Cycle: Perennial

The white flowers of Common Boneset bloom in flat, branching heads and are found highly attractive by insects. When planted, expect to see many butterflies, as well as native wasps, who prefer white blooms. The rough leaves are distinctive, each pair encircling around the entire stem. Common Boneset plants have sturdy, upright stems and often develop a semi-bushy habit. Damp soil is preferred by this specie, which often grows in wet meadows and along ponds, streams, and ditches. Eupatoriums host a variety of native moth caterpillars. Deer Resistant.
