The light purple or white flowers of Carolina Elephant's Foot bloom in airy stalks in late summer and fall. While these flowers can appear to be one bloom, they are actually made up of several smaller flowers. Around these blooms are distinctive, triangular leafy bracts. The leaves lower down on the stems are large and provide this species with its common name. Carolina Elephant's Foot grows up to 2 feet tall and prefers full sun and part shade locations. Deer Resistant.
