Thread-leaf Coreopsis is a 1 to 2 foot tall perennial of dry, acidic soils. It prefers sunny areas and open woods and can creep slowly by roots over time to form small groups. The fine, thread-like leaves of this Coreopsis species form distinctive whorls around the stem. Its yellow flowers are 1-2 inches wide. Blooming in May-July, they are used by bees, especially Halictid bees, and some butterflies. Deer Resistant.
