These late summer and fall blooms are well-loved by butterflies, especially skippers and monarchs, who use this species for nectar during their renown migration in late summer. Plants have a bushy structure with branching stems and grow in damp and wet soil. Their preference is full sun areas or wooded settings with some light throughout the day.
