Eastern Star Sedge has a clumping structure and very narrow-textured arching foliage. In May-June, flowering stalks emerge and the seedheads are star-shaped, providing the common name. This species dwells in a variety of natural habitats that include dry and wet soil, however the height will typically be shorter in drier areas. Various birds have been observed feeding on its seeds. Deer Resistant.
