Flowering heads are larger than other mountain mints with purple to white specked flowers. Aromatic leaves have a silvery sheen. Spreads rhizomateously, but typically not as quickly as other mountain mints. We watched one of these plants periodically over a few days, photographing insects that came, counting 100+ species of visiting insects using it! Deer Resistant. Map currently incomplete by botanists.
